John is the Asset Manager for Vertical Street Ventures and Limitless Estates where he is responsible for maximizing value by monitoring and measuring asset performance, adhering to budgets, performing due diligence for new acquisitions while overseeing both property operations and capital work. Prior to his employment here, John worked as an asset manager for a non-profit behavioral healthcare company in Portland, Oregon.
John began his property management career as a regional manager in Southern California. From there he oversaw a facilities maintenance and capital projects department. Eventually he worked in acquisitions, being part of a due diligence team purchasing apartment properties and portfolios in the San Francisco, Seattle, Denver and Phoenix markets. Once purchased he oversaw their operation, rehab and eventual dispositions.
John holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from Michigan State University and two Master’s Degrees from DeVry University in Long Beach, California, one in Business Administration and the other in Project Management.
John is a regular attendee of a Christian church and first began a visitation ministry to seniors, serving at the Sunflower Gardens memory care facility in Santa Ana, California. Later he was involved in a food distribution ministry to low-income households, serving at Beach Cities Interfaith Services in Huntington Beach, California, and Crossroads, a church sponsored food bank in Portland, Oregon.
